Police identify woman killed in 267 crash

An investigator has identified Cathy A. Teter, 63, Lebanon, as the person killed in a two-car crash on Indiana 267 at Indianapolis Road in Whitestown Thursday afternoon.

Teter’s daughter, Cassidy Culley, 37, Lebanon, was critically injured.

Lebanon Police Dept. Sgt. Ben Phelps, leader of the Boone County Fatal and Alcohol Crash Team investigating the crash, said Friday preliminary findings are that Teter was eastbound on Indianapolis Road, failed to stop, and pulled into the path of a GMC Yukon going south on 267.

Teter was wearing a seat belt, Phelps said. Culley, in a rear seat, was not restrained.

Culley’s son, who was in the front passenger seat, suffered minor injuries and has been released from the hospital, Phelps said.
