15 vie for Boone County 4-H Queen honors

Elizabeth Ewigleben

Elizabeth Ewigleben, 19, of Lebanon, is a 2012 graduate of Western Boone High School. She is the daughter of Ruth A. and David A. Ewigleben. Her sponsoring organization is Mount’s flowers. A member of the Washington Livewires, she is a 10-year 4-H member. Projects include fine arts, misc. crafts and microwave cooking for 10 years; floriculture for eight years; ceramics for seven years; health and junior leaders for six years; foods and gift wrapping for five years; latch hook and self determined for four years; needlepoint for three years; computers and fun with money for two years; and home environment, genealogy, forestry, critter companion and scrapbook for one year. She was president of her 4-H club for two years. Her 4-H awards and honors include plaque, certificate and pen for Achievement Book; 10-year pin; winner of 4-H Booster, Junior Leader and 4-H Foundation scholarships. Other activities and honors include the following scholarships: Bonnie Jo Hughes, Symphony at Sunset, Family Music Studio and Retired Teachers; named to dean’s list at Anderson University (AU) two semesters; member of Anderson Corale, AU Wind Ensemble and the Truth and Life Church; while at high school, member of National Honor Society, AMP for two years, Sunshine Club and on honor roll; participated at Village Dance Studio from age 5. She has been employed as a dance assistant at Village Dance Studio. “I love to read, sing, dance, help others and teach. When I worked as an assistant to my dance teacher, I loved the experience. I also loved being in 4-H and doing different projects. Every year was a new journey to the fair. I have also been taking lessons at AU to play the piano, and enjoy learning new pieces. I loved working with flowers and always enjoyed coming to the queen show in exchange for making the floriculture bouquets on stage, with help from Mount’s Flowers.”
