Bad weather causes two house fires in Zionsville

Zionsville — The initial cause of two house fires has been determined as weather-related, according to the Zionsville Fire Department.

ZFD responded to a house fire at 10:40 p.m. Tuesday at 9463 Greenthread Drive and a second, at 11:46 p.m., at 3570 Flagstone Drive.

A neighbor called 911, reporting flames were coming from the Greenthread Drive home, ZFD said in a press release.

ZFD arrived to the first fire to find flames coming from the two-story home. According to a ZFD press release, the occupants were all able to exit the home prior to the firefighters arriving.
