Lebanon Farmers Market Opens

Lebanon — Colleen Hendricks buys some hostas from Matt Dillon, The Hosta Man, Thursday evening at Lebanon’s first farmer’s market of the year, held by Herr Cabin at Lebanon Memorial Park. Hendricks plans to plant the flowers along the entry walkway to her home. There were a lot of flowers for sale at the market, but also baked goods, quilts, homemade soaps, wood crafts, and even some produce. Kelly Cook, of the Lebanon Parks Department, said she knew the market would start small, but she hopes it will grow in the coming weeks. Vendors of homegrown or handmade items interested in being a part of the market can call Cook at 765-482-8860 or email her at kcook@cityoflebanon.org.
