Lebanon — Stolen items — including a trampoline — were scattered across the Ulen Country Club golf course Saturday as a Coatesville man unsuccessfully tried to first out-drive, and then out-run, police in a scene that reminded some officers of the movie “Caddy Shack.”

Scott A. Ezman, 40, Coatesville, was captured in front of 1913 Elizaville Road by Boone County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Clint Stewart, after abandoning a stolen 2000 Dodge Ram 3500 flat bed truck near the golf course’s ninth hole.

Ezman was being held in the Boone County Jail on $5,000 bond, charged with felony resisting law enforcement, felony auto theft, felony receiving stolen property and four misdemeanors.

Police said the truck had been stolen in Morgan County on June 20; the license plate was stolen from a Ford F-150 in Putnam County on June 21. Items recovered from the Dodge — and the golf course — had also been stolen from the Putnam County location, police said.

Three people attending a wedding reception at Ulen Country Club joined the chase, Lebanon Police Department Lt. Brent Wheat said.
