Unemployment in Boone rises; remains below average

Boone County — Unemployment in Boone County rose slightly to 7.2 percent in November, but remained under both the 7.4 percent U.S. and 8 percent Indiana rankings.

Information from the Indiana Department of Workforce Development counted 27,9260 people in the county’s work force, down 1.5 percent from a year ago. The figure excludes people who have stopped looking for work.
