Lawmakers hold local legislative breakfast

Boone County — Three Boone County legislators listened to what’s on the hearts and minds of Boone County residents Saturday morning at the legislative breakfast held at Witham Memorial Hospital.

Indiana Senator Phil Boots (District 23) and Indiana House Representatives Jeff Thompson (District 28) and Dr. Tim Brown (District 41) spoke to a group of residents that filled Witham’s community room Saturday — they even had to bring in extra chairs — in an event sponsored by the Indiana Farm Bureau, with the Boone County Chamber of Commerce serving as hosts.

“This is an excellent time for you to have face-to-face contact with legislators,” said Bob Guernsey, of the farm bureau. “They’re on our turf.”
