ISTEP issues persist Tuesday

Though the Lebanon Community School Corporation had some early success with ISTEP testing yesterday morning, things began to fall apart again around 11:15 a.m., and State Superintendent of Public Instruction Glenda Ritz suspended testing shortly thereafter.

Students at Lebanon Middle School were able to finish up their tests before the system started crashing, said Will Pullins, LCSC assessment director. The LMS students tested earlier than the elementary schools and were able to finish before 11 a.m. and the suspension instruction.

Central Elementary students have not been able to even get started, Pullins said, and students at the other three elementary schools are all at different places in the tests.
