---- — Only four Boone County council members on Tuesday endorsed a “letter of commitment” guaranteeing funding for a proposed road that would connect Albert S. White Boulevard (CR 400 S) with CR 300 S in Whitestown. The route has been informally called the "Whitestown bypass."

After debating whether Whitestown should pay for some or all of the project, council members David Rodgers, Gene Thompson, Debby Shubert and Steve Jacob voted for the commitment letter.
