Boone County Clerk announces proposed vote center locations

Lebanon — Boone County voters would go to only eight different locations in the 2014 elections if a vote center plan is adopted by the Boone County Election Board.

Seven of the locations would be used for early voting, now scheduled for 2 to 7 p.m. on the two Wednesdays Thursdays and Fridays prior to the May and November elections, Clerk Penny Bogan said.

Those sites would be at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds in Lebanon; Boone County Senior Services, Inc., Lebanon; the Zionsville Town Hall and Zionsville Presbyterian Church; Traders Point Christian Church, Whitestown; the Thorntown Public Library; and the Advance Christian Church in Advance.

An eighth site, at the Elizaville Christian Church in Elizaville, would be added on election days.

“It’s satellite voting, the same as we have done in Zionsville and Thorntown,” Bogan said.
