Western Boone Jr.-Sr. High School has been recognized as one of the best high schools in the state in a new assessment by U.S. News & World Report.
The publication’s best high school rankings placed WeBo as the 35th best high school in Indiana, giving it a silver medal. Its rank in the country is 1,960.
“I think this just validates all the hard work the staff and kids have put in, getting everyone to reach their fullest potential,” said WeBo Principal Rob Ramey. “And obviously we have great parents and a great community that supports us.”
These ratings are based on overall performance of students on state tests, weighted for disadvantaged students like special ed and free and reduced, and participation and performance on Advanced Placement exams.
