Council to vote on 2013 budget

Boone County — County employees could receive a 2 percent across-the-board pay raise, with department heads potentially getting an additional 1 percent, if the Boone County Council approves the 2013 budget next Tuesday. Employees haven’t had raises for several years. The motion to furnish the raises passed 5-1, Councilman Butch Smith dissenting.

A vote on adopting the budget will come immediately after the council’s regular meeting, which begins at 8:30 a.m. in room 105 of the Boone County Annex, 116 W. Washington St., Lebanon.

More than $700,000 in requests for additional spending are to be considered during the regular meeting.
