Business partners seek downtown growth

Owners of a recently opened store hope a fashion show will boost business traffic in downtown Lebanon.

Carole Toole and Stephanie Hughes, co-owners of Poshh, 126 W. Washington St., won permission from the Boone County Commissioners to hold a fashion show in the courthouse rotunda.

Ideally, the Mardi Gras-theme event would be 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 6, but “we can always be flexible,” Toole said. Mardi Gras — French for “Fat Tuesday,” the last Tuesday before the 40 days of Lent — this year is March 4.

Toole, of rural Lebanon, is a 40-year Boone resident and was Mrs. Boone County in 1977.
