---- — A sudden and slippery snow struck central Indiana Thursday, causing multiple crashes, including a wreck in Clinton County that shut down Interstate 65 and caused a massive traffic backlog on the interstate in Lebanon.
Northbound traffic was diverted onto U.S. 52 at the Lafayette Avenue on-ramp, because of the 2 p.m. crash on I-65 about three miles north of the Boone-Clinton County line. That detour channeled three lanes of traffic into one. It took more than two hours to clear the wreckage and reopen the interstate.
