Lebanon considers snow day strategies

Lebanon has a few options for making up time if the school corporation experiences even more snow days, but none of them are exactly ideal, Superintendent Dr. Robert Taylor said at Tuesday’s board meeting.

Board Member David Herr brought up the topic, asking what would happen if the corporation has more snow days this winter. So far, Lebanon, along with nearly all corporations in central Indiana, has taken four snow days, from Jan. 7 to 10. The Indiana Department of Education waived one of those days, Jan. 7, and the corporation decided to make up the remaining three days on Monday, Jan. 20; Monday, Feb. 17; and Friday, May 23, which were to have been days off for students.
