Top 20 luncheon

Boone County — Rotarian Tom Cunningham chats with Western Boone seniors Lauren Wilson, left, and Kylie Hackett Friday afternoon at the Top Twenty Luncheon at the Sugar Creek Art Center in Thorntown. Each year the Rotary and Kiwanis clubs honor the top 20 students from each of Boone County’s three high schools with a luncheon, where they are given a medal and a certificate. Each student shared with those in attendance where they plan to attend college and what they plan to study. Colleges these Boone County students will be attending next year range from in-state schools like Indiana University and Purdue University to the University of Southern Arkansas, Cornell University, Northwestern University, the University of North Carolina, Vanderbilt University and Connecticut College.
