Lebanon — About 20 job seekers connected with local employers at a Reverse Commute Job Fair Thursday held at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds. Commuters and local businesses alike were enthusiastic about the bus line that is opening between the IndyGo stop at Capital and Ohio streets in Indianapolis and the Lebanon Business Park, said Christie Snyder, area director for the United Way of Boone County. “This is an exciting collaboration that addresses community needs,” Snyder said. She added that the United Way of Central Indiana applauds the efforts of the Lebanon business community, Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority (CIRTA), Boone County Senior Services, Inc., and other agencies that are working together so people have the support to create financial stability.

Sue Ritz, of CIRTA, said applications were received from reverse commuters and local residents alike. The reverse commute bus line, a route taken from a metropolitan area to a suburban area, will begin this month.
