On-street parking restrictions in the Royal Run subdivision may be widened to other times than snow emergencies.
An email poll of residents found overwhelming support for a parking ban when two or more inches of snow falls, said Brent Emsley, president of the Royal Run Homeowners Association.
Some type of parking restriction has been sought by County Highway Superintendent Rick Carney, who told the Boone County Commissioners that areas of Royal Run are impossible to plow when vehicles are parked on both sides of streets. Royal Run is south of old Indiana 334 on either side of CR 650 E. Its streets are plowed by the county because it isn’t within a municipality.
