3 loaded guns, chilled beer found in hit-and-run truck

A September court hearing has been scheduled for a truck driver who allegedly fled from a crash and was then found with two cases of Miller Lite beer — one in a cooler packed with ice — and three loaded handguns within his reach in his vehicle’s cab. Dragisa Cvetic, 62, Hillsdale, Ill., is preliminarily charged with carrying a handgun without a license and failure to stop after an accident resulting in damage to an attended vehicle, both misdemeanors. He posted bond and was released from the Boone County Jail over the weekend. An initial hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sept. 4. For more of the story, see Tuesday's Lebanon Reporter.
