City breaks ground on public pool

LEBANON – City officials gathered Friday morning at Lebanon Memorial Park, on the site of the city’s public pool, to break ground on what will become Lebanon’s new leisure pool. Lebanon Mayor Huck Lewis said this project has been a long time coming, but it will be a great addition to improve the quality of life for city residents. “Fasten your seat belts, because we’re getting ready to move on to a new day,” he said. “This is a major, major thing for Lebanon.” Dr. Robert Taylor, Lebanon schools superintendent and member of the city’s Redevelopment Commission, called the project “long overdue” and something that will define Lebanon.
