---- — Three mosquitoes found in Boone County, and sent to the Indiana State Department of Health labs for testing, were infected by West Nile virus, the Indiana State Department of Health said. It is the first time this season that WNV had been found in Boone County, said Cindy Murphy, RN, administrator of the Boone County Health Department. Last year’s first positive test of WNV-infected mosquitoes came in July. The disease is transmitted to humans by infected mosquitoes. For more of the story, see Friday's Lebanon Reporter.
