---- — More than 6,000 Boone County residents awaken each day not knowing whether they will have enough food to eat. Feeding America, an organization of food banks across the country, estimated that 35 percent of Boone County’s 6,100 food insecure people live below 130 percent of the federal poverty level. The poverty level’s sliding scale, set by the Department of Health and Human Services, this year begins at $11,490 for one person. For more of the story, see Tuesday's Lebanon Reporter.
