'A Christmas Carol'

Dover — Ebeneezer Scrooge, played by Sam Lynch, and the Ghost of Christmas Past, Amy Reader, look on to the young Scrooge, Carlos Trincado, and his fiancée Belle, Madeline Kochert, at a dress rehearsal Monday for Western Boone Jr.-Sr. High School’s production of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” Shows will be 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the school’s auditorium. Tickets are $5 at the door.

The students get to vote on what show to put on each year, said Director Paula Kochert. They selected “A Christmas Carol” because they wanted to do something a little more grown up this year, she said.

This is the Western Boone Theatrical Society’s only show of the year. The group is self-funded, holding fundraisers to make enough money to put on a show each year.
