Schaller, Sloan named pre-season All-Americans

---- — Lebanon sophomore Reid Schaller and Zionsville junior Grant Sloan were named pre-season second-team All-Americans by Perfect Game USA.

Perfect Game is “the world’s largest scouting report service, reporting on thousands of young players each year. Along with holding the top tournaments and showcase events Perfect Game has established a reputation for identifying the top baseball prospects each year.”According to Perfect Game, Schaller is the 16th best prospect in the nation for the 2016 class, and ninth best pitcher. He is the second best prospect in Indiana and top pitcher. He verbally committed to Vanderbilt University.

Sloan is the 104th ranked junior in the county and fifth best in Indiana according to perfect game. He is the 43rd ranked pitcher in the country and fifth in the state for juniors.

He has verbally committed to play baseball at the University of Virginia.

Lebanon opens their regular season on March 31 against Sheridan this spring. Zionsville opens April 1 against Carmel.
