The Zionsville girls lacrosse team had a busy Saturday, hosting two games.
The Lady Eagles were victorious in both contests, topping Penn High School 10-8 in the morning, than South Bend St. Joseph's 9-2 in the afternoon to improve to 3-2 on the season.
Coupled with a victory Wednesday against North Central, the Eagles are 3-0 against Indiana teams.
"It is a great start to the season," Zionsville head coach Lisa Rogers said. "The JV is off to a great start too, they are 4-0. It is just a matter of keeping this momentum through spring break, which is tough, since we are going to be apart for a while."
It is the second-straight weekend the Eagles had two contests.
Last week, they lost two games to two of the top teams in Kentucky. This week the Eagles, ranked sixth in the state, they beat the seventh and 11th ranked team in the state.
"It is great to have these," Rogers said. "They are great ways to measure ourselves and see where we are at. This is great building block heading forward."
Rogers said that Saturday's two victories were overall team efforts, but had a couple of players that stood out with their efforts.
