The cold temperatures haven't slowed down the Lebanon baseball team as they prepare for their season opener on Monday against Sheridan.
Lebanon head coach Rick Cosgray said the team has been progressing well in practice as they get ready for the season.
"We have gotten off to a really good start," Cosgray said. "We have been able to get outside all but one day and the day we were inside, we still had a productive day. We feel like we are off to a good start, and we know at this time of the year the weather isn't always going to be great, and hopefully it gets better soon, but we are pleased with where we are at right now."
The team will get their first chance at seeing another team today when they face Chatard in a scrimmage.
"We are looking forward to it," Cosgray said. "Chatard is a good program, so it is always a good situation for us to be able and scrimmage them. Since they have a turf field, regardless of weather we feel pretty confident we will be ready to go."
