Lady Tigersharks get off to strong start against Hamilton Heights

It was a strong start to the season for the Lebanon Lady Tigersharks Thursday night when they started their season against Hamilton Heights. The Tigersharks won every event on their way to a 136-43 victory. "I was really happy," Lebanon head coach Michael Dollens said. "The seniors did a great job of having a lot of effort tonight. Kayla Heydon swam really well tonight, Morgan (Glendenning) swam really well too. If they were in new events they swam a best time and if they were in their sectional or conference events from last year they were right there. Then the younger kids, MacKenzy Tibbot as a sophomore swam well. Then some of the freshmen had a couple of really good races and that was nice to see." Dollens said it was good to see so many good times in the first meet of the season. "I think it is helpful for them," Dollens said. "It is easier to work hard when you see that working hard gets you results. When you see the kids who have had our most success working hard in practice, it is a good example for the younger kids to have. I think that is great and I think that is really going to show what we are doing." Glendenning and Gabi Reese each won four races for the Tigersharks. They teamed up with Makayla Copeland and Tibbot to win the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 2:04.25. For more of this story, read Friday's Lebanon Reporter.
