Tiger seniors shine in romp of Rossville

The Lebanon tennis team honored their four seniors Wednesday afternoon before their match against Rossville. The team gave the seniors the best gift they could get — a quick 5-0 victory against the Hornets. "It is always good to beat a team that you can potential see in the postseason," Lebanon head coach Brad Mustin said. "We have been doing lot this week to push ourselves as much as possible because we assumed (Wednesday) and (Thursday) would probably be quicker matches. We wanted to come into these matches a little bit tired. With sectionals coming up, it is time for us to rest up and get ready to go." Before the match, the Tigers honored Sam Godby, Grayson Heinbaugh, Raghuram Srinivasan and Malachi Vann for their contributions to the program. Mustin said he remembers starting coaching the kids when they were little. "These four seniors have been amazing," Mustin said. "These are actually the kids that when I was in high school I started with when they were 10-and-under. I have worked my way up with them. They are all great leaders, they all know their role on the team and all work well together. They are the first class since 2007 to win conference all four years and the first team since 2004 to win a sectional. Their hard work paid off and you hope the younger kids see that."
