---- — It was a new sectional for the Zionsville Lady Eagles golf team, but it was the same result. Zionsville dominated play at the Crawfordsville Sectional Saturday, Sept. 21, with a team score of 326, 57 shots ahead of second place Lebanon. It was Zionsville’s second-straight sectional title, and third in four years. “I love it,” Zionsville head coach Jeff Anderson said. “It is a fun experience. We look forward to the postseason every year and our goal was to come out here and win this today. So it was mission accomplished – the girls played well.” For Lebanon, it ended their five-year sectional title streak. But the Tigers still will be advancing to the regional, being the only other team to break 400 with their 383. “I thought we did a good job of competing, because we played much better in the second half of the tournament,” Lebanon head coach Mick Milakovic said. “The first half was filled with inexperience and nerves. We have two girls with a lot of experience, two girls with none and one with a little, so half of our team was really experiencing the sectional for the first time. I think that, and the course conditions, contributed to a start we didn’t really expect.” For more of this story, read Tuesday's Lebanon Reporter.
