Godby close to setting wins record

Lebanon senior Sam Godby is on the verge of making LHS tennis history.

The No. 1 singles player for the Tigers is just one win away from tying the all-time wins record. The record currently sits at 70 and is held by 1986 graduate Brad Isenhower.

Godby, who is 12-2 this season at the top singles spot, can tie the record tonight when the team travels to Southmont in a Sagamore Conference contest.

He can then break the record at the Lebanon Invitational this Saturday.

The match against the Mounties begins at 5 p.m., and the Invitational starts at 9 a.m. Saturday.
