---- — When it comes down to sectional time, the key is to just survive and advance. The Lebanon Tigers volleyball team did just that Thursday night, out-lasting Frankfort 3-2 (19-25, 25-17, 25-22, 23-25, 15-13). "We are happy to still be playing," Lebanon head coach Steve Hawthorne said. "I really don't have any extra words for that tonight. We definitely didn't play the kind of volleyball I was looking for tonight, especially for the sectionals, but hopefully Saturday will be a different story." For Frankfort head coach Kia Rushton, it was a heart-breaking ending for her Hot Dogs. Frankfort led 11-8 in the final set before falling. "I just told them to keep their heads up," Rushton said. "They should be proud of the way they played. From two or three weeks ago to now, we are a better team. It is to bad the season wasn't a week longer." Frankfort won game one without much of a challenge at the end before Lebanon returned the favor in game two. Game three was a different story, as neither team led by more than three points the entire game. The teams were tied 13 times and there were six lead changes. After being tied at 21, Lebanon won four of the final five points to win the game. For more of this story, read Friday's Lebanon Reporter.
