---- — It was a trying week for the Lebanon girls golf team. Just two days after having five laptops and other school supplies stolen out of the team bus during a practice round, the Tigers had to return to Smock Golf Course and participate in the regional. The Tigers placed 12th, shooting a 377. "I think they were pretty relaxed," Lebanon head coach Mick Milakovic said. "We went into the tournament without any expectations of where we would finish. We did a lot of talking, and with the emotions of the week, we were very realistic and felt that our chances of moving on to the state finals probably weren't that great. We just wanted to go out and play golf. They were really relaxed. I'm sure if you talked to the girls individually, they would say they didn't play as well as they would like to, but it wasn't as bad as they made it." Allison Goodwin shot an 88 to lead Lebanon. Abby Messenger shot a 90 and Katlyn Coddington shot a 98. Coddington missed the final week of the regular season and the sectional after having an emergency appendectomy. "Katlyn Coddington is amazing," Milakovic said. "The girl is so consistent with her attitude and that is why she is a good golfer. Looking at the statistics, she is going to have the third best freshmen year of all-time at Lebanon, behind only Mattie Lindner and Allison Goodwin. Her season was very successful. To have her come back, and shoot the way that she did, it is going to propel her to success." For more of this story, read Tuesday's Lebanon Reporter.
