The Western Boone Lady Stars continued their impressive streak in in-season tournaments Saturday afternoon.
After beating North Putnam in the morning, the Stars took out the host Sparkplugs 66-42 in the afternoon to claim their second-straight Speedway Classic title.
“Speedway has two pretty good players that are averaging a bunch of points,” Western Boone head coach Rich Schelsky said. “We did a great job defensively and I think we frustrated them. We made it tough for them to score and mentally got in their heads. Then offensively, that was the best execution we have played all season. We really executed against their zone.”
