Lebanon senior guard Katie Curtis was named the District 2 IBCA/Subway player of the week for her efforts in the Twin Lakes Invitational last week.
The awards program is overseen by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.
Curtis paced Lebanon (11-2) to the championship of the Twin Lakes Invitational, averaging 20.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 4.0 steals over three games.
A 5-6 guard, Curtis tallied 23 points with two rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 76-58 win over Evansville Memorial.
The Colgate recruit added 13 points, three rebounds, five assists and five steals in a 56-34 victory over Western.
She concluded with 24 points, three rebounds, five assists and five steals in a 72-52 triumph over Twin Lakes.
Also honored were Fort Wayne Snyder’s Bryson Scott, Roncalli’s Michael Clements, Columbus North junior Evan Henry, West Noble senior Haley Richardson, Evansville Mater Dei junior Maura Muensterman and Columbus North junior Tayler Goodall.
This is the fifth season for the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week program and the first season it is presented by Subway Restaurants of Indiana, a primary sponsor of the IBCA.
Player of the Week winners are chosen each week from each of the IHSAA’s three districts.
Girls winners will be chosen from now through the week following March 2.
Boys winners be selected from now through the week following March 23.
