Tigersharks dominate dual meet with Knights

---- — The Lebanon Tigersharks had no problems getting back to their winning ways Thursday night when they hosted Lafayette Central Catholic in the dual meet.

The Tigersharks cruised past the Knights 130-55 on the girls side and 106-34 on the boys side.

"We swam really well today," Lebanon head coach Michael Dollens said. "We had a chance to swim some different events for the girls. And on the boys side, it was just their second meet so we swam similar stuff. Especially the new guys, who didn't know what to expect on Tuesday, knew what to expect now and they swam much better."

Especially on the boys' side, Lafayette Central Catholic was undermanned because of a small team.

In six of the events, the Knights didn't enter anybody. In two others, they only entered one person.

Dollens said despite many open lanes, it wasn't that big of a deal.

"They are mostly beginners, so they really don't know any different," Dollens said. "I think when you push improvement, and you care about the clock and are always worried about what the clock says, then the lack of a person next to you is a lack of a detriment. Still, when there are close races, that usually brings out the best of us."
