---- — The Lebanon Tigers volleyball team wanted to send their seniors out on a high note Monday night when they celebrated senior night against Decatur Central. The Tigers did just that, topping the Hawks 3-1 (25-21, 25-19, 21-25, 25-10) to improve to 15-16 on the season. "The last set we played really well," Lebanon head coach Steve Hawthorne said. "We had senior night tonight and sometimes it is hard to get everyone focused and ready to go. We had to keep pleading with them to keep up the pace and prepare for tomorrow's match since we have Western Boone." The first three sets all followed the same script. The two teams battled back and forth, and all three sets were eventually tied at 19 apiece. In the first two games, Lebanon was able to go on runs to grab control and win the game, while the opposite was true in the third set. Lebanon has had a tendency this season to go five sets in matches that they either led or trailed 2-0. Hawthorne said he wanted to make sure that didn't happen Monday. "I think we had to get very serious with them after that third set," Hawthorne said. "We had to let them know what was on the line. They have talked about playing Western Boone all season. We just told them that this is not how you prepare for that. We had to get mentally focused and take care of business to prepare themselves for that match tomorrow." The girls responded.
