Harker named Sportsman of the Year

Recent Lebanon graduate Isaac Harker has received another accolade to put on his resume. The Indiana State bound Harker was named the Indianapolis Star's Sportsman of the Year. Each Indianapolis-area high school nominates one male and one female student for the award. Harker was chosen for his work on and off the playing field. "(Lebanon Athletic Director) Phil Levine called me last Monday and told me that I won," Harker said. "I was excited, and I was really honored. I know there are a lot of great athletes in the Indianapolis area so to be chosen was a big honor." Harker was a three-sport athlete at Lebanon, playing football, basketball and baseball. He was captain of all three teams this past season. See Tuesday's Lebanon Reporter for more on this story.
