Giesler earns Tiger win over Zionsville

It was not a conference game for either school, but Friday’s high school baseball game at Memorial Park meant a lot for county bragging rights between Zionsville and Lebanon. Neither started made it out of the first inning as both teams got off to great starts, but in the end Class 3A No. 8 Lebanon was able to break a lengthy losing streak to Zionsville and stay undefeated.

“It’s a rivalry game, so it’s always something special,” Lebanon coach Rick Cosgray said. “We needed to focus on the things that we had been doing to give ourselves a chance and our kids did that for the most part.”
