Tigers make it 10 in a row with win over Danville

It was another strong showing from the Lebanon baseball team Thursday night when they host Danville in a Sagamore Conference match-up.

The Tigers topped the Warriors 10-1 in a solid all-around game.

"We had five conference games to go and we talked to the kids about taking the one at a time," Lebanon head coach Rick Cosgray said. "It was great to come out today and get a nice win, but we have to make sure we are focused tomorrow when we go to Danville."

It was the first game since Monday for the Tigers after having Tuesday's game against the Warriors rained out.

With the weather screwing up the schedule, Cosgray said he was a little worried about it disrupting the Tigers' rhythm, but they responded well.

"It was a little bit of a concern for me coming into tonight," Cosgray said. "Our practice routine has been messed up a little bit. Our kids seemed to get their timing back at the plate pretty quickly and they moved the ball well. Once again, it was a good job of a good mental approach at the plate for the guys."

The win was the 10th in a row for the Tigers, who improved to 17-3 on the season.

Their 8-2 conference record is tied for the conference lead.
