The Class 3A No. 2 Lebanon softball team is hoping the third time is the charm Saturday at the Brown County semi-state.
The Tigers have reached the semistate the last two seasons, only to fall short of the ultimate goal of state.
Lebanon head coach Steve Smith said the Tigers have been working hard since Tuesday's regional to get ready for the game.
"We spent a lot of time doing some mental practice," Lebanon head coach Steve Smith said. "We reemphasized some of the little things that we do. I think some of our failures in the regional game were all around communication, which is something we have stressed all year. It is a matter of getting back to the basics heading into Saturday."
The Tigers, 26-0, had a slow start to Tuesday's regional game against Chatard.
Lebanon fell behind 3-0 in the opening inning and didn't take the lead until an 8-run third inning turned the game in their favor.
Smith said the Tigers know that can't happen again.
