Lebanon's Dafoe, WeBo's Jones end season at state meet

The excellent prep careers of Lebanon's Miranda Dafoe and Western Boone's Caitlin Jones came to an end Friday at the IHSAA Girls State Track and Field Finals at Indiana University.

Jones participated in the high jump, becoming just the fourth Western Boone athlete to participate in the track and field state finals.

She cleared the initial height of 5-feet-1-inch, but was unable to clear the second height of 5-feet-3-inches. She placed 25th.

Later in the meet, Dafoe competed in the 400-meter dash.

She finished 26th in a time of 1:02.18.
