LHS Tigers looking to build off last year's success

The Lebanon boys tennis team won the school's first sectional title since 2004 last year. This year, with five of the seven players back from that team, the Tigers are looking to repeat and advance even further than the regional final. "The players know that this year we have some high expectations," Lebanon head coach Brad Mustin said. "They have pushed themselves very hard. Last year, the first two or three weeks we were in more of a passive mode. This year we came out hard from day one and have been keeping that up ever since." Mustin said that the goals of the team this year are to win the conference and sectional championships for the second-straight year. He said the senior leadership of the team — coming from Sam Godby, Raghuram Srinivasan, Malachi Vann and Grayson Heinbaugh — will help the Tigers reach those goals. The Tigers will really be looking for big things from Godby, who steps into the No. 1 singles spot vacated by Josh Wright's graduation. For more of this story, read Saturday's Lebanon Reporter.
