---- — In Western Boone's week one victory of Sheridan, the Stars' running game was the key to their success offensively. In week two against Clinton Central, it was Western Boone's aerial attack that stole the show. Quarterback Logan Wethington threw for four touchdowns and the Stars downed the Bulldogs 48-12. "Our offense, we are a running offense, but we are going to take what the defense gives us," Western Boone head coach Justin Pelley said. "I don't think people give our kids enough credit for being able to throw the ball. We are a running team, that is what we want to do, but they took us out of that. If they are going to put eight in the box, we are going to throw and we proved that we could." Western Boone jumped out to a 27-6 lead at the half Friday night. Wethington had three touchdown passes in the half, connecting with Baxter from 30 and 46-yards and Austin Burtner from 20 yards away. The other first half score came from Baxter, who didn't originally catch a pass that was behind the line of scrimmage, but picked the fumble up and ran 38-yards for the score. Then lightning continued to be an issue and pushed the second half back to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. For more of this story, read Tuesday's Lebanon Reporter.
