Eagles top Tigers on the courts

The Zionsville boys tennis team topped Lebanon Saturday morning. Despite the 4-1 score, the match was closer than indicated. "Everyone on our team competed well," Lebanon head coach Brad Mustin said. "Of course we wanted to win, but we really wanted to see what Zionsville had this year. We hope to see them again in the sectional and it was nice to see them in the regular season." Last season, Zionsville topped Lebanon 4-1 in the regular season, only to see the Tigers bounce back in the sectional and defeat them by the same score. Mustin said he didn't have to do much to remind his players of that fact. "I was going to say something to them about it, but our returning players did a great job of getting all the guys together," Mustin said. "The guys who played last year really stepped up and told the guys that we will be ready in the sectional." For more of this story, read Tuesday's Lebanon Reporter.
