---- — The Western Boone Lady Stars soccer team returns a majority of their team from the 2012 campaign. With key returners all around the field, the Stars have a team that can contend toward the top of the Sagamore Conference. "So far things have been going really well," Western Boone head coach Jen (Fisher) Foxworthy said. "The girls put in a lot of time during the summer getting in good condition so I was encouraged by that. We are a little ahead of where we have been a lot of years and they are going to keep putting forward that good effort the next week and a half." With two of the Stars top three scorers returning, and a vast majority of a strong defense from a year ago, the Stars are excited for the possibilities this season. "We want to be very competitive in the conference," Foxworthy said. "We would like to be in the top three as a minimum. We haven't totally whittled it down yet, but we are working on a goal for number of goals allowed and it will be somewhere between 0-1 a game is what we are looking at."
