Zionsville tops WeBo in Boone County match-up

(Continued)

The rest of the first quarter was close, with Zionsville holding a 20-16 lead after eight minutes.

"That first quarter we missed a couple of easy ones and free throws and we were still right there," Western Boone head coach Scott McClelland said. "I don't think we played as hard as we did Friday night. I don't know if that was because we were gassed or because we were playing Zionsville. Then we missed a couple shots and not only does that effect your offense, but it effects your defense. That is right now is a glaring thing for us. We show, when we are hitting our shots that we have a chance to be pretty good. We just have to keep shooting."

The Eagles pulled away in the second quarter.
