The Lebanon Tigers got back to their winning ways Friday night against North Montgomery.
Lebanon build a lead heading into the fourth quarter and withstood a North Montgomery rally to win 53-48 on Friday night.
“We played three quarter, three and a half maybe and were able to slide by,” said Lebanon head coach Albert Hendrix. “We’ve got down in some games this year and battle back and just couldn’t get over the hump and tonight we had the lead. North battled back and they just couldn’t get over the hump.”
Lebanon (5-6, 2-4 SAC) took a 12-point lead, 40-28, into the fourth quarter, which Hendrix contributed to his team’s defense.
“Defense was really good and it has been most of the year,” said Hendrix. “For the first three quarters we got in the press and caused some problems. But I stayed in the press too long and they were able to get some easy baskets off of it.”
North Montgomery (3-9, 1-3 SAC) got within one point, 49-48, in the final minute and had opportunities to take the lead but did not execute.
