Schillings bring decades of success to hardwood

Boone County — Even though the game has changed significantly in the last couple of decades, every winter Hoosiers are reminded that basketball is still king in Indiana.

Star players compete on a daily basis during the basketball season in Indiana, and they are admired immensely by their fans.

Basketball players from the past and present are the state’s celebrities.

Even after players retire from the sport, whether they were professionals or amateurs, they are remembered for their accomplishments.

Still, despite all the excitement and memories the sport has produced in Indiana, few have seen more basketball action than the Boone County father-son combination of Ed Schilling Sr. and his son Ed Schilling Jr.

Together, Schilling Jr. and Sr. have joined a fraternity of tremendous student-athletes in Boone County, succeeding on and off the court.
