Bambi McQuade-Jones, DNPc, FNP-C, MSN, RN, executive director of the Boone County Community Clinic, has been named one of 20 2011 Executive Nurse Fellows by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

“I am extremely honored to be selected for the program,” McQuade-Jones said. Nearly 140 people applied for the fellowships.

The fellowships are a three-year, advanced leadership program for highly-qualified nurses in senior executive positions.

It’s not the first public health recognition the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has afforded Boone County. In 2010 and this year, the foundation rated Boone one of the healthiest counties in Indiana, with a third-overall ranking in both health outcomes and health factors this year.

“It gives me a chance to work with, and learn from, the best nurses in America, which means great things are in store for the clinic and the community,” McQuade-Jones said.
