Eileen Kouns Denhart

1921-2008

Eileen Kouns Denhart, 86, Lebanon, died of natural causes Friday, May 2, 2008, at Parkwood Health Care Center, Lebanon.

Mrs. Denhart was born in Fayette, on Aug. 23, 1921, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Margaret (Shirley) Nunnally. Mrs. Denhart spent most of her life in Boone County where she attended Boone County and Zionsville schools.

For 50 years she was married to Ralph Earl Kouns, who died in January 1992. They were married in Boone County in 1941. She was married in Fayette in November 1999 to Jack C. Denhart, who survives.

She was employed in several positions at Dow Chemical near Zionsville where she retired in 1982. She worked on perfecting the polio vaccine at Pitman-Moore and as Dow Chemical acquired the facility, she moved into the accounts receivable department.

Mrs. Denhart enjoyed her family, home, sewing, and traveling.

She was a member of the Rosston Christian Church and attended the Elizaville Christian Church at Elizaville.

Survivors include husband, Mr. Jack C. Denhart, Lebanon; three daughters, Mrs. Beverly L. Morgan and husband, Eugene, Rutledge, Tenn., Ms. Pamela R. Reynolds , Kirklin and Ms. Marsha E. Morgan, Rutledge, Tenn.; a brother, Mr. L. Bruce Nunnally, Franklin; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Thelma Clark, and brothers Junior Nunnally and William Nunnally, are deceased.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Elizaville Christian Church in Elizaville, The Rev. Ed Roark officiating.

Visitation is planned for 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Interment will follow at the Rosston Cemetery in Boone County, Indiana.
